Time to Sing

The road spreads before closed doors and children peek outside.
It's wider now as traffic slows searching every window.

The day breaks, and arms stretch to greet the rising sun.
It's warmer now as spring unfolds, and blossoms kiss the earth.

The birds commence their songs, and God creates new birth.
It's sweeter now as time begins to heal the weary world.

His light lingers and He calls, "It's time for you to sing."
