A Million Tears

clouds weighing more than gravity
fall
faster than rain
like a million tears
but
I
can't catch
my breath

I can't stop the rain
nor the clouds from falling
but
I can hold them in my hands

and adjust my focus

rearranging more than clouds
creating pictures
that steal my breath away
and speed along the sky
like spin art
moving pictures
lighter than feathers

yes

I can stop the tears
or hold them like diamonds

sparkling in my hands

beauty in the storms of my life

and yours
as
we breathe
hope
into the world.
