JOURNALING SCRIBBLES PRE-ORDERS!
Which Journal Will You Try First?
or
Writing now for His future glory!
For over a year Patricia Tiffany Morris planned, sketched, plotted, and designed Journaling Scribbles. And in January of 2021, she opened Tiffany Inks Studio LLC as the publisher and small business for Journaling Scribbles.
One plan led to the next inspiration, that morphed into a gigantic, sprawling project for most of 2020.
And now three of the journals are finally ready for pre-orders. Praise the Lord!
The process proved delightful and arduous. Even depressing and discouraging at times. But isn’t that the way our lives unfold?
You see, when the creative process stirs and bubbles within, we often don’t see too far ahead. Glimpses of hopeful paths sprinkle our brainstorming sessions. Promises of better days whisper when we step into a sticky situation. And our faith cradles our goals along the roadmap we construct.
Here is a glimpse into my process and the concept development in the form of a YouTube video with the help of Kyle and Terha Knittel. Click on the link below to view the video promo.
I added more chapters to my series of novels, immersed myself in poetry and prose, investigated children’s literature, expanded my knowledge of digital artwork, and ventured into private and group tutorials on tech solutions and brainstorming. Creating storyboards for a few writer friends, designing logos and custom artwork proved one of the most rewarding endeavors of 2020.
With journal ideas flowing, record keeping, and accounting took a minor role in my daily tasks and my real-life woes and challenges with self-publishing and managing home life wore the cloak of fiction most days.
Well, at least challenges provided “scope for my imagination” and my stories benefitted. I pen fiction of either suspense or literary women’s genre, and I’m still not sure which themes resonate best with which style of writing, but I’m slowly finding my voice. My purpose in my new art and writing world.
My series of stories unfold in my dreams as well as during odd art sessions or during a late-night movie with my husband. Noble themes of forgiveness, anti-bullying, using digital technology to solve crimes, and finding identity in Christ, find bits of enlightenment on sticky notes, random journals, and scrap pieces of paper or the back of a tax receipt. And while they do not belong on the back of anything, I am convinced that the power of digital recording might preserve both my eyesight and my sanity.
Wrestling humorously with Scrivener and photo organization, I attempted the grand cleanup of my digital and paper space at the beginning of 2021. I have so much to do, but once I updated the article as a fable of sorts, Word Weavers International published the new version at their blog. I hope you’ll check it out if you’d like to laugh a little at my escapades!
But seriously…
Planning and organization are difficult. But adding a bit of creative space to sketch and doodle in my planner gives my brain a boost to time management. I’m certain daily scheduling keeps my faith and my inspiration strong. I just needed some colorful, artsy mixture of both creativity and planning to make routine life manageable.
What about you?
Journaling Scribbles might be just the tool!
With the combination of organizational planning and creative doodling, why not put sticky notes away and keep your next project in one place?
Perseverance! My word for 2020 and again for 2021. Because sometimes we just need to learn a thing a little longer than we had expected. Cue the soft violin music.
As I pursued the incredible task of self-publishing the color-coded series of journals, I realized I need to keep that word and add a measure of grace and hope to 2021.
Thanks to my tremendous Journal Launch Team on Facebook. I am pleased to announce the first journals of the Journaling Scribbles Series. And although this set is not a series in the traditional sense of the definition, I will continue to produce and publish journals in one of 9 different color-coded categories and pray that the Lord finds my work to His glory.
I suppose that’s all we can hope for in this life. To honor and give praise to God through the work of our hands. While we wait, I hope to continue my fiction story, and benefit from the writing therapy if nothing else comes from my pursuit.
And in between sleep and new journal creations, I discovered a fondness for reading poetry out loud.
Who knew an introvert could enjoy reading in front of others? But perhaps that’s why Zoom rooms helped calm my nerves.
I also joined a couple new writing groups, The Writing Room of FB and the Iowa Poetry Association. I wonder if I could be brave enough to record myself reading more poetry and adding snippets to my YouTube Channel.?
Ideas don’t seem to ever cease! I need to learn to say no to my brain once in a while. At least so I can rest at night. Time to magnify and increase my prayer time.
I’m still praying for you, dear readers. Please don’t hesitate to tell me how I can more specifically pray for you or your family. It would be my honor.
As you know, our inspirational stories can sharpen and encourage one another. So, keep writing and creating for God’s glory.
