Writing Words: Writing Protocol
Flowing like a river, stumbling over stones
From sadness to despair
Feeling all alone
My pen should flow but stops
Wonder what to say next, tripping over words
Once too many rivers, one too few to cross
Stepping over poppies
Slipping on the moss
To glide along the tongue
Winding like a river, ending up as prose
Gliding on the paper, sitting here at home
Penning plots for fiction
Far from home I roam
Welcoming a stranger
Scenes with love and kindness, all will see His throne
My message to the world, spreading truth of hope
Speaking with a neighbor
Writing perfect trope
Or reading words I wrote
Crafting songs of God’s love, writing protocol
Singing praise to Jesus—my God who welcomes all

ALTHOUGH Patricia began writing this poem 3 years ago, it has been the summary of her writing process and she shares it with you to bring hope through Christ! Writing to share the message of the cross is the greatest glory and joy!
