I’m going to be okay, Mother.

I’m going to be okay.

Everything would be okay.

Peace. Hope. I remember.

Old house full of boxes.

The hospital.

Grandma.

Funeral.

Emotional turmoil.

It was the first time I’d lost anyone close.

The ache in my heart.

The church trying to comfort me.

I was grateful.

But I remember my mother was such a precious woman.

She loved so much.

My mother.

Precious.

Mother.
