Unmasked: From Despair to Hope
Unmasked
(Reverse Poetry)
I wrote this poem to be read forwards and backwards. Which do you like better? Hope or Despair?
Unmasked
despair
sinks all
the vacant hollow sounds
relentless without
joy
hammering to find peace
and pleas of
lost opportunities
find sorrow
with words unmasked
screaming cries
sees an end
the pain
still and silent
a graveyard
echoing inside
a restless mind
without
hope
(In reverse it reads…)
Unmasked
hope
without
a restless mind
echoing inside
a graveyard
still and silent
the pain
sees an end
screaming cries
with words unmasked
find sorrow
lost opportunities
and pleas of
hammering to find peace
joy
relentless without
the vacant hollow sounds
sinks all
despair
