I’ve always had a flair for imagination. More so, now that computers rule the world in even the art world. But I must admit that I find the blending of art and writing the most satisfying of pursuits.
I completed a marvelous, inspiring 8-week course called Leverage Your Art, by Gingiber and Stacie Bloomfield. Opening my mind to various possibilities for licensing my art, I smiled at the last design brief project.
Create a book cover for Pride and Prejudice!
Not only was the artsy element invigorating, the plot line came rushing through my affinity for the digital world and fictional characters navigating a new pathway.
“Darcy and Elizabeth communicate in the untamed online world of 2045 and meet in real time causing their 1813 counterparts to be trapped in the digital version of the original manuscript.”
~ Patricia Tiffany Morris
Slamming on my brain-brakes, I got ahold of my imagination and pulled out my bullet journal. The time for the annual collecting of 50,000 words during Nanowrimo skidded into my quest for yet another project.
Perhaps not so much a quest, as a propensity for new projects.
Shaking off my own sensibilities, and ready for a few more sleepless nights, I scribbled the next month of days for the upcoming 2022 Nanowrimo event.
Nanowrimo, National Novel Writing Month in November, encourages writers to set a goal of completing 50,000 words during November and in essence, completing a full novel. They have a marvelous cheer leading, following at https://nanowrimo.org.
Back to Pride and Prejudice, my creative energies focused on “love” art. Here are a few of my projects.
Love Always Hopes
Love art and Home Quotes.
Well, back to writing, and finishing, a 4-book series that needs to be told.
Although I’ve put the new Pride and Prejudice project back on the shelf, I pulled out my Scrivener files, and slid this illustration back into the binder. All the brainstorming pages, character sheets, and printed scenes from my current mystery, suspense novel series are waiting for me.
And I’m ready to kick up some dust and arrange the particles where they rest, come November 1st.
What is your next project and how can I pray for you?
Lastly, I hope you’ll listen to my upcoming interview on Katherine Hayes podcast, Murder, Mystery & Mayhem Laced with Morality.
