Burden of Proof by DiAnn Mills captured me from the first pages. An incredible, breathtaking shock at the end of Chapter One pumped adrenaline and pounded my heart with the surprise moment. I felt as if I experienced the action along with FBI agent April Ramos. I won’t spoil your experience by writing details, but I enjoyed the captivating mystery, clues which the author dropped throughout, and the dialogue. All drew me into the experience. The conclusion was certainly a surprise and gripped the adventure throughout the story. The genre of suspense and mystery rose to a favorite place for me personally, and the romantic elements were quite light, which I appreciated, in order to focus on the crime solving details. An excellent read.
