Summer Sermons from Grace Church

Awesome August Series 2020

The sermon series during the summer of 2020 at Grace Church found my husband and I settling into a comfortable worship experience at home. And here we are—one year later—still worshipping from our living room in the middle of Iowa.

Ironically, both summers our air conditioner unit broke. Both summers we requested estimates for repairs, but this year, 2021, we bought a small window AC unit and found a welcome oasis in my office/bedroom space.

Reflecting on the series a year later, and processing the 2021 August series, every year the tradition remains the time to “focus on what is essential.”

Let’s make every effort this year to do what we know to be God’s direction in the details of our days.

How does claiming the title of a disciple look in this time? How is it different today? What can discipleship look like through the lens of Zoom? Can I study my Bible in a virtual space with believers across the world?

These questions and more tumble through my mind. What questions keep you awake at night?

Drop a comment below to keep the discussion alive and the gospel spreading to people around the world.

Jesus Christ is the hope that endures! Hallelujah!

Praise the Lord!
